    There is variability in the nature of anastomosis across surgeons – one versus 2-layer OR interrupted versus continuous anastomosis.

    How can this be standardized in this EAGLE study to minimise confounding effects on outcomes, particularly when attempts at discussing this variation (with a view to accepting a common practice among surgeons in the same center) fails?
